Chocolate apple pie

I love an apple pie, and with addition of chocolate that is already complete pleasure! I didn't have to think to much about this - there were all ingredients and willingness, as always! So, I got down to the work.
The end result - as expected. In addition, this stellar topping - the slowly approaching Christmas can already be felt.

Chocolate apple pie

Ingredients for the cake:

1.5 cups  flour
3/4 cube butter (150g)
0.5 cups sugar
2 eggs
5 tbsp bitter cocoa
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla sugar
a few drops of vanilla extract

Sift and mix flour, baking powder and cocoa. Add soft butter to sifted ingredients and cream everything. Then add sugar (I added cane sugar), eggs, vanilla sugar and vanilla flavor - combine together all the ingredients and knead until you get a uniform dough. Divide the dough into two parts, the larger one for the bottom and the rest for the top of the cake. Roll out the larger part of the dough, lay into the tart pan (I used 27cm one) and put into the fridge for about 20 minutes. Roll out remaining part into 0.5cm thickness and then using gingerbread cookie cutters (I've used stars), cut the sprinkles.

Ingredients for a apple-chocolate custard:

4 large apples
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp cocoa
1 tsp sugar
3 oat cookies (crushed)
half a bar of milk chocolate

Peel the apples and cut into cubes. In a saucepan, melt butter and then put half of the apples, sugar and cinnamon - simmer for a few minutes. When our apples soften completely, add the second half of the apples and cocoa. Stir everything and, at the end, add the chopped chocolate, however quickly take out from the heat, in order to not melt the chocolate.

Take out our chilled dough from the fridge, sprinkle with crushed oat cookies. Then spread the apple-chocolate custard and, in the next step, cover with our topping - the stars. Bake about 40 minutes at 160deg C. After cooling down it can be sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Lemon cake

In general, November evokes the sadness, cold and an increased number of eaten lemons during this period. Lemons - recently they  were heroines in my kitchen. Thanks to them, many palates were satisfied ... by the lemon cake with recipe by Czarny. Lightly and pleasantly disappear from plates and is a great addition to an afternoon coffee. I recommend!

Lemon cake

Ingredients for the cake:

400g flour
250g sugar
cube of butter (200g)
3 eggs
2 tsp baking powder
grated lemon rind (2-3 lemons)

Preparation:

Cream the soft butter and sugar. Next add 3 eggs. Later gradually add the sieved flour and powder - still mixing. To this add the grated lemon rind. The consistence of our dough will be quite sticky which can make the next step a little bit difficult. Our dough should be divided into 3 parts. To the prepared pan (40x25cm) pour and spread the first layer of dough. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees C and bake one by one for about 15 minutes until it get a nice ruddy color.

Ingredients for the lemon custard:

1 lemon gelatin (75g)
1 tbsp potato starch (or instant pudding)
2 egg yolks
juice of 2-3 lemons
1 cup of sugar
0.5 liter of water

Preparation:

Mix the egg yolks, gelatin, flour and juice. Boil  water with sugar, then add the mixed ingreadients and still mixing until you get a uniform custard. Our baked cake layers intersperse by lemon custard. Finally sprinkle with powdered sugar. It tastes really delicious! And just between us, the cake is even better if it has a few days (of course, if it is possible to not eat the whole cake in one day!)

Instructions

Sift the flour and baking powder. Blend or crush with a fork the bananas - they do not have to be shredded to mush! Triturate the butter with the sugar and egg, then add to the our loose ingredients. Add to the formed mass a pinch of salt and crushed bananas. The next step is to divide the mass into two equal parts. To first one, add cocoa and cruched white chocolate and stir. To second one - bright one - add chopped dates, milk chocolate chunks and chopped nuts. A greased mold fill with two layers: dark one and light one. Bake our banana cake at 180 C for about 50-60 minutes.
